AI Appointment Reminder Calls in Singapore, What They Actually Cost

Hariz Farhan5 min read

"Can the system call to remind my patients about tomorrow's appointment?" It's one of the most common questions we get, and one of the least understood on price. Most vendors either bury it in a custom quote, or don't offer it at all. Here's the real number.

The short answer

Outbound reminder calls cost exactly the same as inbound calls: S$0.30 per minute, on the same prepaid wallet, with no separate outbound plan and no per-seat licence. A reminder call runs well under a minute, so 500 reminders a month works out to roughly S$150.

That's it. No tiered outbound pricing, no "campaign" fees, no minimum commitment.

Why this isn't cold-calling

This question comes up next, every time, so it's worth answering directly: an AI reminder call is not a cold call.

Reminder calls on your account are not a telemarketing dialler, and that's an architectural choice, not a setting someone forgot to switch off. The only numbers Trelinx dials on your behalf are people already in your own system: existing patients, existing customers, existing enquirers who asked for a callback. There is no list to buy and no stranger to dial, because the contact list is your own.

This distinction matters in Singapore specifically, because of the Personal Data Protection Act and the Do Not Call Registry. A business calling its own customers about their own upcoming appointment is standard operational contact, the kind every clinic and salon already does by hand or by SMS. A business calling numbers it bought from a list is a different, regulated activity entirely, and not one your reminder campaigns are doing.

One thing worth separating out, because it is easy to conflate: Trelinx the company does place its own introduction calls to listed business numbers, and that may well be how you first heard from us. Those are our calls, not your account's. They open by saying they are AI, run on a recorded line, and anyone who asks to be removed is taken off on the spot.

So when we say "outbound," we mean exactly four things:

  • Appointment reminders, the day before, so a customer doesn't forget
  • Payment reminders, for an invoice or deposit already owed
  • Callbacks, when a customer has asked to be phoned back at a specific time
  • Follow-ups and win-backs, pulled from your own CRM of people who've already engaged with your business

Nothing else. No purchased lists, no strangers, no exceptions.

The maths, by industry

The S$0.30/min rate is the same everywhere. What changes is how often a no-show actually costs you something, and that's where the ROI comes from.

Dental and medical clinics

A missed appointment slot is lost chair time that can't be resold once the hour passes. At an average of 40 reminder calls a day across a multi-clinic group, that's roughly S$360/month in call cost, against a no-show rate that typically drops by a third or more once every patient gets a reminder the day before. See the full cost comparison against hiring a receptionist for the bigger picture.

Salons and spas

A stylist's chair sitting empty on a no-show is revenue that can't be recovered. A single-outlet salon sending 300 reminder calls a month spends about S$90, well under the cost of one missed premium treatment. See how this applies across industries Trelinx supports.

Fitness studios and gyms

Class capacity is the scarcest resource a studio has. Reminder calls the morning of a class, paired with a waitlist that fills automatically, close the gap between booked and attended. See how this applies across industries Trelinx supports.

Tuition and enrichment centres

Trial-class no-shows are especially costly during enrolment season, when every seat matters. A centre running 500 reminder calls a month during a peak enrolment push spends roughly S$150, a fraction of one lost enrolment. More on tuition & enrichment centres.

What's included, and what isn't

Every reminder call is recorded, transcribed and auto-summarised in your Command Centre, same as an inbound call. If a customer wants to reschedule mid-call, the AI handles that on the spot rather than just leaving a message. And if a call genuinely needs a person, it hands off with full context, so nobody repeats themselves.

What you won't find: a separate "outbound module" to buy, a minimum monthly spend, or a sales call to get a quote. The rate card is published, the same S$0.30/min whichever direction the call goes.

FAQ

How much do AI appointment reminder calls cost in Singapore?

S$0.30 per minute, the same rate as inbound calls, on the same prepaid wallet. A typical reminder call runs under a minute, so 500 reminders a month costs roughly S$150.

Is an AI reminder call the same as a cold call?

No. On your account, Trelinx only calls outbound to people already in your own system: existing customers with an upcoming appointment, an outstanding payment, or a requested callback, which keeps reminder campaigns clear of the Do Not Call Registry rules that govern unsolicited telemarketing. Trelinx itself does place introduction calls to listed business numbers to introduce the product; those open with an AI disclosure on a recorded line and honour a removal request immediately.

Do I need a separate plan for outbound calls?

No. There is no separate outbound plan, no per-seat licence and no minimum commitment. Outbound reminders draw from the same prepaid voice wallet as inbound calls, at the same published rate.

Can a reminder call handle a reschedule?

Yes. If the customer wants to move the appointment during the call, it's rebooked on the spot and confirmed on WhatsApp, no separate step required.
